FAQ

Q. How much Sew Clean do I use? A. Starting with the highest head to the lowest head, add 1 quart of Sew Clean per head and flush each head once. Q. How long should I let Sew Clean sit in my system? A. The mixed solution should stay in the system for 12-16 hours. Q. Do I need to flush my system after treatment? A. Yes, flush each head a minimum of 10 times to remove any loosened residue. Be sure to thoroughly pump out the black water tank after each Sew Clean application. Q. Can I use Sew Clean with other sewage additives? A. No, Sew Clean should be used solely on its own. Q. How do I clean my holding tank with Sew Clean? A. Sew Clean works best on tanks if diluted at a 4:1 ratio, that is 4 parts water, 1 part Sew Clean. It is best if you flush your tank with water before using Sew Clean as to remove any loose waste that might be present in the tank. This allows Sew Clean to go to work directly on the buildup that is present on the tank walls and bottom. Q. How do I use Sew Clean with a Vacuflush System? A. Disconnect power to the VacuFlushR system at the breaker. Add one quart of Sew Clean per head and flush. Let the mixed solution sit 12 to 16 hours then fresh water flush each head a few times. Be sure to thoroughly pump out the black water tank after each Sew Clean application. Q. Can I use Sew Clean is a waterless urinal? A. Although Sew Clean was not intended for use in waterless urinals, we’ve had great success with this type of application. The process consists of diluting the product at a 4:1 dilution ratio, filling and saturating the toilet for 4 to 8 hours, and then rinsing with fresh water. There are 2 main types of waterless urinals on the market that utilize a one-way valve system. SEW Clean works well in all these systems. In barrier fluid urinals, be sure to remove the cartridge as these often contain oils that can negatively affect the product. In microbiological urinals the replenishment of microbial spores is necessary once the application is complete. By nature, uric scale is corrosive and if left unchecked can lead to failure of copper piping. If piping was not upgraded during installation of waterless urinals, using SEW Clean will remove the corrosion worsening the problem and leading to pipe failure. Q. Will Trac's solutions attack by gaskets, seals or plastics? A. NO! All of our solutions are specifically formulated for these types of applications. These materials can actually stay in full contact with the products for several weeks without being corrupted. Q. Can I use Sew Clean on an RV? A. Yes but since the tank is often located right below the toilet, the product will not stay in the hoses and will go straight into the tank.
